The EnviroTas-AS AWTS is accredited for six-monthly servicing, meaning the on-going servicing costs are amongst the lowest on the market. Most other systems available require quarterly servicing.
What’s Included in a Wastewater Treatment Service?
When you book wastewater system servicing with EnviroTas, a qualified technician will visit your property every 3 to 6 months, depending on the make and accreditation requirements of your system. Each service is thorough and designed to make sure your system continues to work effectively.
A standard service will include the following:
- Sight-check the overall health and performance of the system.
- Check the condition of all system pipework.
- Check system odour levels.
- Check sludge levels in each treatment chamber.
- Check the performance of aeration diffusers and adjust as required.
- Test and check the operation of the air blower.
- Test and check the operation of the discharge submersible pump.
- Replace spent chlorine tablets (if applicable).
- Measure dissolved oxygen levels.
- Measure pH.
- Clean the irrigation filter.
- Check the condition and performance of the irrigation dispersion area.
Every service is recorded on a certificate that is sent to you along with your invoice, and a copy is also lodged with your local council. EnviroTas offers two levels of wastewater system servicing:
A Service Only agreement - does not include the costs of parts and labour for system breakdowns, parts failures, system alarms, or repairs to the irrigation dispersion area.
A Fully Serviced agreement - will cover the cost of any failed system parts, with the exception of the electrical control panel and irrigation bed, but it does not include the cost of labour for attending to breakdowns, parts failures, or system alarms.

In Tasmania, wastewater treatment system servicing is not optional. Tasmanian wastewater approval regulations require that every treatment system is serviced regularly by a licensed provider.
The accreditation of your Wastewater treatment system will determine how often your system needs to be serviced. Most brands will require servicing every 3 months. The EnviroTas-AS System is accredited for six-monthly servicing when irrigation disposal is below ground, which means lower ongoing servicing costs.
